PINOT FILE - The Perfect Pinot Gift Pack
We like a Pinot that lights up the room but our classic Stules wouldn’t be so rude. So here’s the perfect pack of three beautifully crafted, classic character driven Pinots that scream I know my stuff.
Jacqueline Yoakum, Oregon
WINEMAKER: Jacqueline Yoakum. Consulting winemaker Italics, Buhman, Greggarious. Alumni of Littorai, Schramsberg, Keller, Stags Leap Wine Cellars, and Le Cadeau.
WHAT WE TASTED: Tawny cranberry Oregon color with heirloom french plum tart, lavender and chocolate mint nose and a lingering sweet pea floral note. On the palate, a nice bit of herbal, cinnamon and kirsch, while crème brulee emerges. Oak is subtle and integrated in this elegant and supple wine. Drink now or hold and age for the next 10 years.
Noria Wines, Russian River
WINEMAKER: Nori Nakamura: Larsen Family, Artesa, Silenus, Jamieson Ranch, Pine Ridge
WHAT WE TASTED:
Intense aromas of raspberry, violet, a hint of dark cherry, rose-petal, and seductive bouquets of cedar, white pepper, and caramel. Fragrant entry. Stylish, refreshing red berry flavor quickly expands on the palate. Vibrant acidity and silky mouthfeel melt into an elegant, long finish. A hint of sweet oak and spice notes add nuance and complexity. Pure and Delicate
Metzker Family, Sonoma Coast
WINEMAKER: Melissa Apter Castro: Antinori (Chianti) and Antica Antintori (Napa Estate)
WHAT WE TASTED: Intense and concentrated fruit marked this vintage with its lower yield. A lively Pinot with dried rose petals, violets and wild berries aromas. Loaded with layers of fruit and baking spice on the palate with mellow and smooth tannins. Bright clean, long lasting finish.
