AVA DESIGNATED: Carneros, Sonoma

WHAT WE TASTED: A crisp, not buttery, Chardonnay with well integrated oak, it is juicy and slightly creamy on the mid-palate. Pear, floral and apple all explode with a little cotton candy and butterscotch. Tannic in a beautiful, rich, round mouth feel way.

 WHAT WE PAIRED:

  • Turbot with béarnaise (dining out at Bouchon),
  • Grilled pork chops with porcini mushroom risotto
  • Homemade spinach gruyere quiche

PERSONALITY: Look a little closer on the label. The pooch drawing is made up of wine terms. Very clever those Gregg's - Kristina and Steve. And Guinness and Chase, who grace both the labels. See Pinot Gris too.
